LAHORE: On the basis of the housing project called LDA City that was completed in Lahore, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has announced the development of housing plans in the districts of Kasur, Sheikhupura, and Nankana Sahib.
The authority has been given permission to establish field offices in the aforementioned districts in order to streamline the planning and implementation process.
The notion was supported by the necessity for efficient housing planning to lessen the burden of a growing population, provide high-quality services, and generate cash for the long-term expansion of LDA, according to a trustworthy government source.
The Punjab Government increased the LDA’s legal authority in 2013. Master planning, repurposing land, and approving private societies were among the roles highlighted by the governing council.
Several projects have been finished, according to LDA, in the districts of Kasur, Sheikhupura, and Nankana Sahib. As a result, the adoption of the Lahore Division Master Plan 2050 is a step in the right path toward the development of sustainable infrastructure for the benefit of all.
