Karachi: To protect the buildings recognised as historical sites, the Sindh government has established a fund of one billion rupees. (According to a news source)
A notification was released by the Board of the Endowment Fund, which the Government of Sindh established for the protection of historic and archaeological sites.
The endowment fund will help ensure that historical structures and landmarks are protected, repaired, restored, and maintained, according to Sardar Shah, who spoke at the ceremony.
The province minister imposed a regulation requiring various firms and organisations to contribute to this fund as part of their CSR efforts.
He added that contributions from international organisations will also be accepted for the fund established to protect the heritage.
During the current fiscal year, the endowment fund for historic sites and buildings received 250 million rupees from the Sindh government, it was revealed at the meeting.
