Islamabad: At 6:06 a.m., the National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC) reported tremors that caused people to come out of their homes in fear, reciting the Kalma-e-Tayyaba.
Fortunately, no damage has been reported as of yet. It is important to note that tremors that are close to the surface could potentially cause lasting damage to structures. The NSMC is currently working to determine the magnitude and epicenter of the quake.
It is important to stay informed of any updates released by the NSMC as they can provide valuable information on how to best prepare for future tremors and to take precautionary measures to ensure safety during an earthquake. This includes securing heavy furniture, storing items in low places, and having an emergency kit ready.
Additionally, stay away from windows and doors during a quake and find a safe place to take cover. Stay calm during an earthquake and follow the instructions of local authorities. Earthquakes can be a frightening experience, but by remaining calm and following safety protocols, people can minimize the risk of injury or damage.
